| General |
| Plant consists of
a single system with fuel storage, boiler, turbine/generator
(650 KW), air-cooled condensers, and associated ancillary
equipment including emission controls, fuel conveyors, water
treatment, all controls, etc. The boiler is twin-stoker
fed but could be converted to another method if preferred.
The building and spare parts are included.
The plant began operation in mid-1994 and ran
until late 1999. The plant was constructed for waste
disposal of sawmill residue. The plant was shut down as
a result of lack of fuel. The owner diverted the
waste/fuel into another product more financially advantageous
for the company. The fuel consisted of hogged sawmill
slabs, end cuts and other wood residues including saw dust and
some ground bark. |
